The Ultra Chic Prom Boutique, hosted by Max I. Walker, raised more than $8,300 for the Open Door Mission’s Lydia House. This second annual event, which took place on Saturday, February 28 in the Heartland Room at the Holiday Inn Convention Center was awesome! There were more than 1,000 dresses for sale and we had a line of girls waiting to enter up to an hour before the event. Each dress was only $20, and over 400 were sold. We had local vendors present to offer an “all things prom” atmosphere. We also had a fashion show to showcase some of the hot dresses for sale and even had a raffle for each dress to determine who would be the lucky owner. The event was complete with music and a grand prize prom drawing. Thanks to everyone in the Omaha community for your dress donations, attendance and continued support. What a fabulous event!
