There are two reasons why I have always loved working at Envoy.
- First, the relationships I have built with clients have been some of the closest of my professional life. I am not only proud of the work our team has created on behalf of our clients, but I am also proud to call our clients “friends” in every sense of the word.
- Second, I know with certainty that the Envoy of today is not the same as the Envoy of tomorrow. Daily, our team is faced with new challenges - spurring us to stretch and grow, giving our jobs a lively, contemporary and fresh feeling that is intertwined with and dependent on technology, pop culture, politics, mass communication and more. This is, to me, the greatest reward of my job because it is this aspect of Envoy that keeps me young and curious.
That’s why today is a very exciting day not just for me, but for everyone here at Envoy and, I hope, for you as well.
Beginning today, I will be assuming the role of chief strategy officer for Envoy. In this position, I will continue to be the key partner contact for some client accounts. In addition, I will also spend a greater portion of my time on agency development. In other words, I will be focusing not just on maintaining some of our long-standing relationships, but also on helping find and develop new relationships, build new account teams and guide the agency into even greater success.
Chris Doyle, previously senior vice president and creative director, will be assuming the role of president of Envoy. Having worked with Chris for most of the last 20 years, and serving as partners with him for the last eight, I am excited about what this means for Envoy. With a deep background in creative and interactive services, Chris will bring a different energy to the forefront. He has also been instrumental as a key partner contact for many of our accounts, Boys Town for example, and has helped to guide and nurture our excellent staff.
Finally, I would like to officially announce the addition of Mike Bautista as Envoy’s senior interactive developer and Web designer. Having previously worked at Mutual of Omaha, Corporate 3 Design and West Corporation, Mike has a variety of experience that is not only hard to duplicate, but extremely valuable in our role as technology consultants, partners and contractors for our clients.
This is an exciting time for Envoy and I look forward to helping the agency continue to grow and bring forth innovative new ideas and strategies. So to all my clients, I have two words…stay tuned!
On a personal level, I feel I have the greatest job in the world, and am looking forward to many more years doing what I love to do.
