The Midlands Council of Campfire USA has been awarded a grant that will provide food to Omaha-area children who need it.

Executive Director Penny Parker was presented a check for $3,500 as the recipient of the annual “Giving Circle” grant. This amount is more than twice what was received by the Council the first year it received a grant.

The funds will directed to the Snack Pak Program that provides nutritious foods in a backpack to more than 200 children each week.
