And the winner—again—is…Roberts Dairy’s fresh milk, cottage cheese, sour cream and orange juice.
For the 10th consecutive year, Roberts Dairy’s fresh milk is the top choice of people living in the Omaha metropolitan area. Add in the No. 1 brand of cottage cheese (for the eighth straight year), the No. 1 sour cream (for the second consecutive year) and the No. 1 locally produced orange juice (for a sixth time) and Roberts’ fresh, great tasting products are the most popular choices up and down the dairy aisle.
“We want to thank the consumers and customers that support our brand,” said Jeff Powell, president of Roberts Dairy. “We have a 100-year history in the market and we sincerely appreciate the 10-year track record of support the community has in selecting Roberts Dairy as the overwhelming favorite dairy choice in Omaha.”
Choice matters when it comes to health and goodness. That’s why Roberts products come with the “Real seal,” guaranteeing that all of its products are made from U.S.-produced milk that meets federal and state standards as determined by the United Dairy Industry Association.
One of the newest additions to the Roberts’ milk family is Skim Extra. It looks and tastes like 2% milk, but it is fat free and loaded with calcium, as well as vitamins A, C and D.
Yogurts have become great on-the-go snacks for the whole family. If you are looking for tremendous taste and want to stay fat free, Roberts’ newest 6-oz. yogurts contain only 70 calories thanks to Splenda® – a sweetener made from sugar so it tastes like sugar.
Roberts Dairy marked its 100th anniversary in 2006 with a number of celebrations. A “Birthday Bash” at The Rose Theatre in July treated attendees to ice cream, cake and a specially produced anniversary fruit drink, while Omaha Mayor Mike Fahey recently proclaimed it “Roberts Dairy Day” in conjunction with the Septemberfest “Salute to Labor” festival. The Labor Day parade through the streets of downtown Omaha featured all four of the company’s oversized cows.
In May, more than 40,000 Kansas City area residents turned out in force to “Roberts Dairy Day at the Royals” while Iowa City’s mayor proclaimed it “Roberts Dairy Day” in June as part of that city’s celebration. Still to come are anniversary celebrations at the Fire in the Sky Holiday Lights show in Des Moines and the Star City parade in Lincoln, Neb., where Roberts was founded in 1906.
As Roberts begins its second century, Powell said Omahans can expect Roberts Dairy to continue its commitment of providing the highest-quality dairy products.
“We take pride in our personal guarantee from every Roberts Dairy employee to provide our customers with wholesome and fresh dairy products,” Powell said. “We’ve been known for our goodness for the past 100 years. As we move forward, you can be assured that we will continue our guarantee of dairy freshness.”
