Roberts Dairy celebrated its 100th Anniversary by throwing a “Birthday Bash” on July 15 at The Rose in Downtown Omaha.
More than 2,100 pieces of cake were dished out, along with 1,500 cups of ice cream and 2,000 half pint cartons of Roberts Dairy milk.
Children and their parents enjoyed the play “Who’s (Not) Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf,” storytelling and acting workshops, costume dress-up, and outdoor activities such as riding hand-pedaled railcars and playing in inflatable bouncing houses.
Roberta the Cow stood outside The Rose, next to an old-fashioned milk truck painted to allow chalk writing and drawing on sides, front and back. Roberts Dairy also gave away anniversary-themed prizes, including coupons and baseball caps.
